Jamal Parham, 21, getting ready at 6a. All "clients" have to leave the shelter by 7.45a and find somewhere else to go. Jamal has spent 7 months at sylvia's place a homeless youth shelter, after he was kicked out of his cousins' apartment in brooklyn. He tried to commit suicide twice in past months by swallowing bottles of sleeping pills, "But I feel better now, more spiritual and grounded."
